Been looking around for a couple amps for my new system and to tell you the truth, I don't know enough about them to tell what is quality and what is junk. Tried researching and this is what I came up with.

Components: PG RSD65cs.

Amp:looking for 150w each

Subs: Two Diamond Audio D312D2.2

Amp: $120 - $150 per amp. I know it's on the low end, but thats what my wallet can provide.

Thanks for the input.

bottom line. with that post everyone on here is gunna give you shit and not help you. So im gunna be the guy that helps you. Those amps are to say the least GARBAGE. Look for more brand name amps. Pheonix Gold and Diamond both make good amps. so get a 1000+ rms 1 channel and if your running more than one set of comps id recommend running a four channel and not putting 150RMS to each speaker. more like 80 RMSx4

You can get the HF bxi1210D for $225 shipped w/warranty. That would suit either subs.

For your comps (I'm guessing you're just running 1 set) you might consider a small 4 ch. With a 4 ch a little 50x4 will generally bridge to 150x2 or so, and be quite a bit cheaper than a 2 ch that will give you 150x2.

$130 shipped:

it SAYS 300x2, but it's probably 200x2 realistically, and would give you excellent dynamic headroom if it's gain limited to 150.

Thanks for the amp recommendations.

Yes, I'll be running only one set of the PGs and have decided to go with the Diamond Audio since sq is my goal. Never thought about bridging a 4 channel as I have been looking at 2-channel amps. If you bridge a 4-channel, would you run the left off the front output and the rights off the rear outputs?

Ok, so if I bridged it this way, would I still be able to fade left and right for stereo or would it fade front to back? The headunit has 3 pair of RCA outs.

Thanks for explaining.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Also, for the front stage, since components have both mid woofers and tweeters, would you set the amp as flat, use the crossovers that come with them, and then use the eq on the headunit to make your adjustments? Learning quite a bit still.

If you use y cables with your LF and RF hu outputs to input to ch 1/2, 3/4 respectively, then you'll still have l-r balance.
When using a Y cable, would that drop the preamp voltage in 1/2?

For instance: the Kenwood KDC-X792 I ordered has 4volt preamp outputs. By splitting the signal to two inputs, this would send 2v to each correct?
