good amp for old type R's

I am running two type R 12's(last years') 4 ohm. I want to put 500w to both subs to get the full potential aut of them. Is there an amp that will do this for a couple hundred dollars? I dont want to spend an arm and a leg on an amp, maybe just an arm, hehe. Let me know, I dont know all the amps out there so please cut me some slack, thanks

heres jus a small list of what i know, that you can get around 200, Hifonics's bx1500d or bx100d (older not as good) there tx 1505d there bx 1605d, or if you look the viper/direct audio/orion 1200's all very good amps, i got my viper 1200 for 184 shipped. and these are all full power at 1 ohm since you said 4 ohm model and i believe thats dual so that would be down to 1 ohm with 2 subs

Viper and direct audio are two names that I trust. Is there an amp that would push 1000w at 4 or 1 ohm? I can wire my subs at 4 or 1 ohm and Around 200 bucks would be great. If so, can you let me know where I could get it? Thanks

go to ikesound.com they have a refurb viper1200 for around 220 shipped, if u dont mind refurbs or wait on ebay for a good deal like i did, like i said i got my viper for 184(but i wlso used the ebay 10% off cupon

ps the old r's i hear dont like more than 500 at least thats what i hear, and the viper will actually put out liek 1400 with good elec, so watch ur gains, and if anything the viper is an amp that u can keep if u want to upgrade subs

Well it's power will be devided into two subs, so at the most it will be 700w witch I have herd is what these subs are happy at anyways, so. I will be turning the gains down because it should be insainly basey for me. I might be getting a Directed 1100D from my budy for cheep. We will see how that unfolds. Thanks for the help.
