Good Amp for a built tc9

As we speak woofercooker is building a 15" with a tc9 motor and all new softparts. It is a 2ohm ssub and he said the rms is around 1000watts im looking for A good amp to pair up with it. I am thinking about going with this http://www.woofersetc.com/p7501/BXI-1610D--Hifonics-1600W-1-Channel-Mono-Block-Amplifier.htm or maybe an audioque 2200 but thts prob too much for the sub anyone have some other suggestions?

the hifonics is a nice budget amp.

or you can get the AQ. just don't crank the settings.

id go wit the hifionics brutus 1208 or the 1608 either one will work perfect. memphis mc1000d, sundown saz1000d, sae 1200d, saz 1500d anything 1000-1600 watts is perfect. its gonna be happy runnin 1k to 1200 rms but for short periods will hand up to 1600 watts.
