Good amp and 2 8 inch sub combo

This is going into a corvette so i am looking for something compact, two 8s that dont require a lot of space, was looking at re re8s (.35) or ed 9kv.3 (.35). Any other suggestions? I was also looking for a compact amp to power these with a wired gain remote as I am keeping my factory head unit so want to be able to control the amount of bass. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

btw i should have mentioned, since this is going with basically a factory speaker system i dont need anything that is too over the top, like 150watts rms per sub is fine

I have a mono amp and a 18" sub in my 84 vette

and a 4ch amp pushing 3 pairs of component speakers to keep up with the 18.

might be one of the loudest corvettes on earth.

by the way - 8" subs are hit and miss - so buy quality stuff and it will be good.

no sony or pioneer stuff. u definately want jl or rf at the least, followed by re up top.

yeah i am looking at two re re8s, pioneer 720 rps (or is it prs?) components, and an eclipse xa4000 amp
