What do you want out of the sub? What kind of frequency response? How much space do you have available? What type of enclosure?

Things you need to ponder to help make your choice easier:

1. Brand? Are you wanting a particular brand or are you open to suggestions?

2. Price? How much are you willing to spend? (you've already stated this)

3. Size? How large of a sub do you want? 8"? 10"? 12"? Bigger?

4. SQ/SPL? Are you wanting all out loud or all out accurate? Maybe a mix of both?

5. Enclosure? Sealed or ported? Might tie in with the answer to #4.

6. What kind of music do you primarily listen to?

7. Amp? Do you have an amp already or have your eye on one? How much power does it supply? What is your budget for an amp?

Can you answer the above questions please? We'll be able to give you recommendations in a jiffy if you do.
