Good 750-1000 RMS SQ sub for around $250

Any suggestions? I can get a Kicker L7 for around $230 shipped, I realize most people don't like Kicker or don't think this is close to a SQ sub, but in the right box they sound **** good IMO. Anyone have any better suggestions?
