Sounds like you might go to x64's so you can go above 4GB but all this will cost a pretty penny....

Once you switch platforms you'll end up ditching the RAM, CPU and Motherboard... which for servers is quite spendy...... g/l goob... I hope our little forum is making you $$$...

Also what type of SQL are you running?? Maybe there is a more efficient type... it'd be a freakin serious headache to change/upgrade but it'd be cheaper???

The bandwidth is fine, its the server cpu usage that is causing th issue. It spikes, then gives the server busy message, locks people out and calms down. If this didn't happen the load would continue to rise and could cause the server to crash, which would take much longer to get back going again. I hope to have this resolved asap. Whatever it takes I will get it done.

To those of you posting ignorant garbage in this thread, I hope you DIAF. I repeatedly asked that this not become a complete clusterf**k because the intent of this thread was originally something that would benefit the entire forum as a whole.

To those of you offering real advice to Goob thank you very much for your time as well as your contributions. Please keep the advice coming ~ the info, troubleshooting, and suggestions about the server and whatnot are far beyond my computing knowledge and abilities so you lot are offering something I could never begin to. Many thanks for that.

MANY thanks for your attempts at remedying the problem. I do not know if your efforts will bring temporary or permanent relief to the drudgery we have all been experiencing here of late but whichever it ends up being it will have to be better than nothing.
