Gonna tackle big 3 today, one quick question

I only plan to run about 500-600 watts so will 4 gauge wire suffice?

Also, my battery is in the trunk(Cobalt) so will this make it easier or harder.

Run 1/0awg Overkill never a bad thing with wiring.

definately gonna be harder since the batt is in the trunk. you're run wire from the alt to the rear (batt). with only about 600 watts rms, you may not even need to do the big three. although people say the big three will help in any situation, which it will, it may be overkill in this situation. i'll let someone else chime in and see what they think.

x2. But, if cost is a problem, 4 gauge is fine. Remember, anything larger than stock is better than nothing.

Even though the battery is in the trunk I have a positive terminal post under the hood for jump starts.

If it's not gonna kill my alt I think I'll just keep it stock.

I'm gonna run a JLw6 with a JL500.1.
