Going to get Metered

their is an equation to figure out the resonant frequency or your car but if you didnt tune ur box to your car then it wouldnt do much...

although my box is tuned to 36hz my explorer is somewhere in the 42 44hz range and i hit my loudest on like 43 4hz it was a 2 db difference from playing a 36hz tone as opposed to playing a 43

Ok. You wont read as loud as a 40-45hz box of course, but first thing I would do are play some test tones and see which one is loudest. Your probably going to find 36-42 will seem the loudest. But the meter might read differentlly.

Hit and miss I guess.

The only way to truly find the RF of your vehicle is to TEST! And then, tune your box 6-7 dB's BELOW the RF (even THIS should be tested in all honesty) ...so it will PEAK at the RF. peace
