Going green

Actually if memory serves diesel is actually less polluting to the air, I want to say it's something to do with heavier exhaust particles that fall to the ground and a more complete burn.

maybe but I hate the smell of that exhaust pouring out of diesels and not to mention the hideous black smoke
The smell of diesel exhaust is an acquired "taste", I too used to hate but I have done quite a bit of performance work on diesel and have grown to love the smell. The black smoke is fun, we have an 07 F-350 Power stroke that has a custom tune and stock exhaust with catalytic converter and muffler removed, and whenever someone pisses me off I line them up with the exhaust tip and drop the hammer, puts off a huge black cloud(especially good when they have their windows down;)).

Last time some fawker did that, they caught the taste of their own blood from the bullet coming out of my smoking colt .45!

True Story!

Is a bunch of fucking bull shit. I wish the hippies would just shut the hell up for once. If I had my choice, I'd be driving a diesel on straight #2 and have black smoke pouring out whenever I could.
you should do some research on smog alerts in L.A. maybe youd start to think otherwise. sorry but burning eyes and lungs due to smog are not my idea of fun.

those "hippies" are the reason L.A. people can actually go outside without having to worry about the next smog alert, telling people to run indoors.

do they go too far now a days? yes, IMO. i love performance cars, and they are taking that away. there has to a balance. but if you think we should go back to the days of no regulations...your ****ing nuts.

I agree, we didn't have it too bad in the area I lived in, but whenever I visited the family down in L.A. the smog would kill me, my sinuses would burn my skin would break out and my asthma would flare up.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif So Cal pollution FTL:crap:
