Going from 1000w to 2000w (2 SA-12s)

well going from lower power to higher power it can be done.we were testing one day doing a 150 at vol 20 then went to vol 23 and hit a 156 then to vol 25 and did a 159.9. so it can happen.but we were also running 10k
No doubt, just thought his approach was realistic and refreshing.

with tuning around there you may be able to get a slight hair trick is it a trunk car because sealing it off will help you big time
Yes, its in a 2011 Ford Fiesta. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

3dB is about the minimum threshold that the ear can perceive as a change. You'll notice something is louder, but it won't be significant.

I don't buy into this claim. 3dB is quite a bit. I mean, it's not a lot, but it should be noticeable. Expert tuners are able to tell sometimes when a certain frequency is boosted by 1dB.

Noticeable. I'd expect somewhere around 2db 2.5 on the high side.
Wow 2 or mayvbe even 2.5dBs! It must definitely be worth to expense of buying a 2kwt amplifier! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Would you recommend this? Someone give me a validated answer. Im sick of people telling me about electrical, electrical is keen at this point, and ill end up getting a battery if i get this. Would it be a big difference?
Just out of Curiosity what is "keen" exactly. What do you have done Big 3 in 1/0, 1/0 power & ground single/double runs? # of batteries and make of those batteries/ HO Alternator? 1k-2k isn't exactly a small change in my book, 1k can typically run just fine off a stock system. 2k generally takes all the stops to be done cleanly, depends some may get by with stock but a true 2k wrms is gonna take a toll electrically, it is why people pound it into you.

When i say Keen i mean its as good as its gonna get, everything is 2g or 1/0, big three is done. Ill buy the top of the line battery, and the amp is a Alpine M2000 at 2ohms

I'd like to see those people pass a double-blind test. I've worked with some people who can pass as human RTAs, and even though they can be uncannily accurate with frequency, the human ear is awful at determining amplitude.

The great thing about this is that you don't need fancy equipment to prove it's true //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Get a signal generating program, generate some test tones and hear for yourself.

I cant seem to make a decision. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

You will notice a difference. You won't be able to play the subs full tilt for hours on end though. I have a pair of Skar VVX-15s being run off 2 RD D9s strapped if that makes you feel any better haha. Not that they need anywhere near that amount of power but it's nice to have headroom (a lot of headroom)
