going active questions

i would like to go 3 way active but my crossover only has sub mid and high.

could i use another 2 way crossover in line with the mid line coming out of the first crossover?

EXAMPLE: Mid bandpass set at 80-5k output connected to my mtx 2 way crossover and have the mtx feed my m6's on a 400 lowpass and my hd-4's would be fed with a 400 high pass. so if my logic is right my m6's will see 80-400hz and my hd-4's will see 400-5k , right? then i will connect sub and tweeter amps up like normal sending 80 and down to my sub and 5k-up to my tweeters.

i am trying to get it all straight before i pull the interior out to do this.

Hey Mister Skanky 1219.

you could save yourself the trouble if you went F.A.S.T. way

The Cdt M6 mids are good midds but the tweeter & midrange arent that great sounding.

you could Bandpass the M6 from low pass 150.200.250 & highpass it at 80.

Buy a

I havent bought the cdt mids yet. just the midbass's and the tweets.

maybe i will look into other stuff. i was actually thinking about running some dayton mids and tweeters

yes the Dayton will be a up grade from cdt.

you could use the fountek down to 250 & up.

If you dont like them Madisound will refund you your back.

you dont need a Y-adapter for a 2 channel amp.

If that amp will let you bandpass then just use the cross overs on the amp.

does that amp allow you to bandpass?

If so use the midbass bandpassed on the amp, turn the decks highpass off, unless that deck can go active.

if you can get enough power to those midbass then you bridge the amp & run them in Mono.

you dont need to need to run your midbass in stereo.

& if you stiil want a good realiable tweeter then look into these brands from madisound & partsexpress dayton, lpg,Vifa,Seas, tweeters.

seas makes great tweeters

the mids are excellent as well, there many reviews on seas all over the web

the small format tweeters you can cross them over at 2.5k,no lower.

If where to buy the large format tweeters you can go lower.

Have you decided on which mid to get?

The scanspeak discovery mids look worth trying out.

Sb acoustics mids are getting a lot of buzz in the homeaudio forms, which makes me want to try out a pair for fun
