How are the mids going to be oriented in your door pods? Meaning, how many degrees off axis from pointing straight at you are they going to be off?

How are the tweeters going to crossed over? Frequency and slope?

the mids are going to be 30 degrees or better, i'm gonna do the driver side, then match the pass side the same, as to not have any side biasing, having one more on axis than the other. the tweeter, will be on axis, i haven't figured the tweeter xover or slope yet, i'll play w/ that when i do it. i'm guessing around 2500hz @ 12db. i wasn't to keen on it being 8 ohm. any suggestions on a 4ohm mid, in the 60-70 range?

This is off the point a little but I'd try different mounting angles and things like that. Just putting something 30 degrees off axis doesn't mean that is the best for it. You have reflections and things like that to consider. Just build you a baffle, angle them and go from there. I found that mine worked best firing about 6" in front of my rear view mirror. Some work aiming them at the headrests. Every vehicle is differnt.

Agreed, but a baseline to start with never hurts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Jump on these. 4 ohm just like you like them.
(link is in PM)

Please don't start. I'm saying that as nicely as I can, I've been through this waaaayyy to many times.
if i had the money right now...i'd already own a pair //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what waaaaayyy too many times? i'd like to hear it.

The difference in output between a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm driver is generally negligible if any at all.

I've gone into a fair amount of depth on this issue and been in some pretty heated debates that I would prefer to avoid now. I'm pretty much in a go ahead and believe it or not state on this issue now.

I will still stop somebody when they say that an 8 ohm driver is not suitable for a car. That's actually false, and it can actually be beneficial.

not trying to get you going...but the output would be the "same", even though the 8ohm driver would be getting less power, than the 4ohm load?
