Going a different route

Sometimes it takes me days to get it just right, I dont use the DMM to set my gains, I never have...

What really pisses me off is that I've heard kids with Performance Teknique amps and some bigass DHD subs that sound almost as loud as mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

When their system is worth about 500 bucks and I have a good expensive equipment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It happens sometimes, I once had 2 12" Jensens running off 200watts and I would put some of my friends systems to shiot, they would get all mad...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

dude if they are that brand new you need to give them some time to break in before they put out thier entire potential.......

TRY AND NEW BOX, TUNE HIGHER -cheaper than renavating the whole **** system, and probly the most effiecnt to getting louder,. play around witht he possitioninf og it

USE A DMM and see how much power ur running, it'ls quite possibly ur not getting full power from the amp, especially if the electrical isnt top notch....from what ive read int he past those orions dont like shitty electrical systems AT ALL.... measure voltage, square that voltage, then divide that by the ohms...youll get a rough estimate of ur watts....

again try faceing the box differant distances from the back, use all kinds of positioning......you'll be amazed at the dB gain just from positioning the hbox

ALL INSTALL DEPENDANT MAN

and if it still doesnt work well......then considering getting new shit.....but that the more effective/least costly/more effective to dB route than just buying new shit.....

you put a 2006 xxx with plenty of power ina shitty leaky box not positioned right.....then it'll sound like a 2001 re SE......

X2 Yes get a new box and tune higher also work on your electrical system

x2 on a new box. What is your current size/tuning?

I recently built a box for a friends L7 15s. We did 7.2ft^3 @ 35 in his Explorer. The Directed 1500d he has didn't do them justice, so we threw my Orion 2500d on them. They wanged **** hard(he is waiting on his 2500 to come Tuesday and we will throw it on the TL at the shop) . I can't see anyone needing more than that unless you are competing.
