Your a two-faced *******....your going on the list...

I haven't replied to the thread on SI.net because I refuse to go there for many reasons which I don't feel like discussing, however, I will give you guys my side of the story.

I'm not an Overpeck or any of the rest of these assholes who bash their customers, because the basic belief that "the customer is always right" still stands.

I made a deal with awol that if he bought two boxes at once, I'd give him a discount, which he recieved. The first two enclosures i sent were not what he ordered. I didn't do it on purpose, nor did I set out to piss anyone off. It was simple oversight and nothing more. He shipped the boxes back on his own free will in exchange for two new boxes. The ported box for his JL ended up exactly as he requested, so I'm not sure what his complaint was there. The second box (not sure what sub it was for) was appearently cut for a 12" and he requested a 15". Had he TOLD ME (instead of just going off to a forum where he knows I don't visit and bashing me), I would have payed to ship the box back and recut it for him for free. Instead he opted to go to a local shop and have it cut....That's his choice, not mine. I've appologized to this guy on several occasions for the things I was aware of, and done everything in my powers to make it right, but sometimes things just don't work out.

As my hero once said "You can't please all the people all the time". When you do as many transactions as I do in a month's time, there's bound to be a screwup somewhere along the line (murphy's law). I take full responsibility for the mistakes that were made, and I will do everything in my power in the future to keep things like this from happening.

Most people don't realize how difficult it is to keep everything straight and in order when you try to go at a venture like this alone. I'm very proud of the fact that I've kept as many customers happy as I have and only had a few minor incidents like this one. Most people know that I'm an easy guy to deal with and I always do my best to keep the customer happy. Unfortunatly, you'll always have a few snags along the way. If you don't want to get your enclosure from me based on this one incident, that's fine. Its you're choice, and there are several other companies that build subwoofer boxes. However, for those of you who continue to consider Gnome Audio to build your box, I don't think you'll be dissappointed with the results.

:hilarious @ paying 75 bucks to send a box back when you can build your own for that much.
I built the box that's in your trunk, and it cost a bit more than $75 if i remember.....

who's laughing now, chuckles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'd have to pay well more than $75 for all the tools. All I have is a cheap $15 jigsaw. Plus working 70 hours a week makes you very lazy. :thumbsup

Its really not that... its having the access to them and getting the time to build their own boxes... I've built my own boxes and all of my power tools dont compare to table saws and stuff so i get really bad cuts and the box ends up looking like ***... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif

Haha...that's very true. I would be VERY happy if I had all the resources in my garage to build myself a box. So instead of actually getting to build enclosures for myself, I just experiment with fiberglassing things a lot whenever I get bored. (Though it gets expensive trying to fiberglass a bunch of stuff, not to mention it's VERY hot in Phoenix over summer). If I had all sorts of saws to make precise cuts so all the pieces of MDF board would fit together, then I'd not have bought my enclosure.

you have a jigsaw? you rich bastard. i would make my own box if i had the tools, time, or if i was competent enough to but seeing as im not... i wanted inhuman acura to help me with the box and installation but I dont know if he is still coming to the forums and I have no other way to contact him I might have Donn build me a box and then pay a local shop to install the shit, since if it were in my hands I definitely would fck everything up, not to mention i have a total of zero tools in hand.

I got a jigsaw - I practiced trying to cut in straight lines - I'm still pathetic at it. As for making a hole in the baffle, how in the hell do yo get the jigsaw inside so you can make a circle???? A little off-topic but that's just something I'm wondering.
