GM Bose Question

i bought a 99 blazer with the bose factory radio. i can't find an external amp so i'm assuming there's not one. So my question is, is the amp a built-in one inside the factory HU, or are the speakers just a better speaker or both? If the bose amp is built in and just pushing more power out to the speakers then i would like to put a aftermarket HU in and use it's amp. But i don't know if it's wired a specific way or not. Any advice is appreciated.

TIA

If its bose very good chance there is an amp. Easy way to tell is look at the headunit, normally HU;s that use amps not built in lack heat sinks. And bose likes to put their amps in cool places like behind quarter panels in the dash behind kick panels and like said on the speaker
