Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck is an instigator. We dont need more polarization of people, their thoughts and their beliefs. We need less.
Polarizing people is a well known tactic of politicians to gain votes, and a tactic of politics in general to keep our "two party system" in place. Dont be sheep.
This to the millionth degree.

Thank you, I found many lulz in it too. I needed an avatar change anyways, its been over a year on the last one.

Fort what its worth out of all the cable news talk shows, I find Keith Oberman to be the least full of shit of all of them.
OK, yer messin' with me now snoop, aren't you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Beck says some screwed up stuff, but he's not who I worry about.
I worry about the people that think he is worth listening to and believe in what he says. Those people are scary. Simple-mindedness is like cancer spreading like wildfire in this country

Holy fuck you just lost the points you gained. Of course they wanted to separation the church and state, that is why it is in the bill in rights in verbatim. Some of the founders are even quoted for speaking out against religion. This is not a liberal teaching, it is a fact teaching. Admittedly, the two are often the same.

I definitely never learned the rest of that in school.

Case in point, you're a fucking retard. There is no way around it.
First, as I stated earlier, I don't care whether or not I get points from you. You are a young, ignorant, liberal, moonbat idiot. Once you get a real job, raise and family and start making enough money to actually contribute to this country and start paying taxes, you probably won't wake up. You are still all fogged up by your shitty liberal public education. You probably didn't learn the "rest of that" in school because you were high on mary jane. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

First Amendment in the Bill of Rights:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Hmmm...so where is it "verbatim" that it states a "wall of separation" between church and state?

What so many people, including you and the liberal enclave in public academia, erroneously do is interpret this to mean a separation of church FROM state. This is not the case. What this clause was meant to protect us against is any established church or religion having a direct ruling influence within our government. In case you forgot, the Church of England was responsible for the persecution of those who had different beliefs, so those people came to the colonies to worship as they please. The Church basically controlled the king. If you didn’t belong to the Church of England, you were an outcast and second-class citizen.

Think of countries you know of today where their respective religions play a direct ruling part in the government or are flat out theocracies. If you are a part of a religion that isn’t what the government says you should follow, life can be quite difficult for you and your religious choice may even cost you your life. This is what the first clause of the First Amendment is protecting us from.

What it does not mean is that religion has no place in government. And it certainly states nowhere within the document that there is supposed to be a "wall of separation" between church and state. Far from it.

So, to use your lingo, who's the fucking retard now?

I stand corrected, it not in the bill of rights in verbatim. Nevertheless, the intent is still stupidly obvious. "no law respecting an establishment of religion". That means religion is to stay out of government, and of course vice-versa. If religion was tied to our government, then that would be an establishment of religion. It goes beyond the lives of private citizens and protecting their rights. Your small mind obviously can't understand this. If you question the interpretation, there are many sources to back up the interpretation of what the founding fathers meant.

Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptists (June 1998) - Library of Congress Information Bulletin (Here is your "wall of separation", written by Thomas Jefferson)

US Treaty with Tripoli, 1796-1797

the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion
Signed by John Adams.

Thomas Jefferson quotes

Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

I'm sure I could go on. In answer to you question, still you. Your blinding ignorance is unbelievable. You just lost 1000 more points in my book. You're at -54,053 now.

PS: Why do you think most teachers are liberal?

"The separation of church and state is a legal and political principle derived from various documents of several of the Founders of the United States. The First Amendment to the United States Constitution reads "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . ." The modern concept is often credited to the writings of English philosopher John Locke, but the phrase "separation of church and state" is generally traced to an 1802 letter by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists, where Jefferson spoke of the combined effect of the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. His purpose in this letter was to assuage the fears of the Danbury, Connecticut Baptists, and so he told them that this wall had been erected to protect them. The metaphor was intended, as The U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted it, to mean that religion and government must stay separate for the benefit of both, including the idea that the government must not impose religion on Americans nor create any law requiring it. It has since been in several opinions handed down by the United States Supreme Court,[1] though the Court has not always fully embraced the principle." - Separation of church and state in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You may not like it, you may not agree with it, but to say the separation of church and state is just 'liberal bullshit' the education system concocted to brainwash our children, is simply wrong. Now you know.

Liberals pick the "wall of separation" side and conservatives don't. Public education has swerved headlong down the liberal chute since the establishment of the DOE in the late 70's under the Carter administration. That is when much of the historical local control of the public school system was handed over to the Federal Gov't and the teacher's unions. It's considered "liberal bullshit" when only one side of the debate is injected into the public school system and is passed off as established fact with little or no rebuttal. I can copy wiki too I suppose, but you should check out the following: Brief on Separation of Church and State, Part I

Like him Or not, dude makes a lot of money.
I'll liste. Or watch him sometimes, and some things are interesting, but sometimes he just makes some ridiculous points.
