I have to admit, working a 3rd shift job, it did bother me that I couldn't buy alcohol on Sunday before 8 am. So much for not passing their religious beliefs off on me.

But I look at society as a series of compromises to please everyone just enough to keep them from picking up guns and starting to shoot people.

That 8am rule was in Central Cal? That must have been a county rule or something. The state rule is nothing served between 2AM and 6AM.

Nope, I never worked 3rd shift in Cali. I dont remember what the laws were there. You seem to be suggesting that's not a law there, I'll take your word for it. I do know its a state-based law.

The same reason why most minorities and poor people are liberal.

Teachers on the other hand vote democrats because educated/intelligent people tend to be liberal. To be an educator, you have to go through a lot of education yourself.

Yes, and you also have to be too scared to apply said education in the real world. That's why they become teachers in the first place. Their highly educated peers that weren't scared, went out and got jobs. They're on their own and proud of it so naturally, they vote republican.
