If people cant mentally handle myspace or news or whatnot... then its evident that they cant handle life.

What happens to a retarded animal in the wild... the mother ****er gets eaten. Same in our society, just in a different. The OPs view on this subject is totaly crooked...

I only took an honors morality and ethics class for 2 years but I sure learned alot.

this goes back to me stating you have already given up the fight. Everything you say is just comments taken out of context and twisted around to make your side seem valid, but its not. We should setup a poll.

Vote option 1. If someone kill themselves and blames it on someone else then that person blamed should be held responsible.

I didn't take anything out of context. I quoted exactly what you said. You are the one that has a problem grasping the definition of close minded. I accept that I may be wrong but am strong on my beliefs. You flat out just tell me I am wrong and don't accpet my belief as a possbility.

How am I being close minded? I say that something can happen not that it absolutely will. You and many others say NOTHING will happen with an absolute tone. Who exactly is being close minded here? Perhaps we should work on your definition of being closed minded.

You're being close minded in the fact that you seem certain that bad will happen, even though your knowledge of the experiment, and the science behind it, is non-existent. You're positive that "god" is absolutely against this experiment - I'm guessing that you've personally spoken with "god" to know this?

It's rather apparent that you're not a physicist, likely not a scientist, and you have no idea what results the experiment will bring. You haven't a clue about what will happen, yet you give absolutely zero credit to the brilliant people behind the LHD, their knowledge, their experience, or their background. You just assume that it's going to cause the end of the world.

What's even more hilarious is that you blame others for being "absolute" in their opinions, and call them "close-minded" in return. Belief in a "god" is the FURTHEST stretch of human logic and reason, probably the farthest thing from an "absolute truth" that mankind has EVER come up with. Capitalizing the "t" in "Truth" doesn't make it real or fact. Anyone with a mind of their own knows that it's "faith", not "fact". There is no proof apart from an old book written by MAN, yet you are ABSOLUTELY faithful to the idea. To the point where you somehow believe you're justified in saying everyone else is wrong in their views. Opinion isn't fact, open your eyes and realize this.

Are you terrified that scientists will find out something that could possibly contradict the bible and what you've been taught in Sunday school? Is this why you're so against scientists trying to learn for themselves about their beginnings, and not by mindlessly accepting 2000+ year old stories told in the bible? What happens if science proves god to exist? Anything is possible you know....

You don't know close minded either. I have never laid claim even once that what I say is absolute unlike a few individuals on the other side of this fence. I have acknowledged and accept my view may be wrong. It doesn't mean I can't be strong in my belief while accepting I may be wrong. That thought logic is the core of ignorance.

Her stupidity caused her to take her own life.

The LHC is a non living object, which could not walk or talk or take a person's life... just like how guns don't kill, people do.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. It is almost routine practice for a handful of people to kill themselves when they get news of an impending doomsday. The funny thing is the trending....for centuries, it was the religiously devout who claimed doomsday and committed *******....now it's the scientifically ignorant who do the same. A weird parallel exists there.
