And you're an idiot for somehow thinking that a religious answer is the only correct answer. You claim that you're not absolute, yet you call others blasphemous, or idiots for not agreeing with you baseless opinions. Your belief structure is so rigid that it stops you from accepting that the potential knowledge gained through science may just be much more beneficial than harmful, and it retards your ability to essentially think for yourself.
And FYI, I was once very religious, raised in a very active RC family. Hell, I even took religious studies courses in university to find reasons why modern religions were seemingly failing mankind. I'm in all accounts now an agnostic, teetering a step or two above atheism. Before you go and embarass yourself again by saying that I absolutely don't believe in god, please go look up the definition of "agnostic". I hope that I don't have to repeat myself again on that subject.
And I'm also a scientist (petroleum geologist, B.Sc and M.Sc degrees), reasonably well educated and not afraid to think for myself.
There is a reason why I chose "Unholysavage" as my handle. You call it blasphemous, I consider it evolution, in a sense.

The problem with science as a belief is its rigid adherence to logic and observation, paired with its ability to be flexible: in science, we are always willing to change our opinions if a new opinion can be demonstrated as correct. A scientist who tells you God is impossible is not a very good scientist. God as the current concept is significantly less probable and philosophically illogical, but still a possibility that you cannot deny. That is the beauty of science.
Religion, on the other hand, does not require or use logic to hold its value; and, by default, it denies the existence of anything other than itself. It is rigid and never-changing: no matter what anyone ever tells you, that religion will still hold true. All three of the major monotheistic texts describe their religion as the one true religion. We must be careful about balancing the belief in God and the belief in religion: although religion is firmly rooted in the belief of God, the inverse is not necessarily true. Do you just have selective memory, or do you only read what you want to see? I never once said that you're not entitled to your beliefs. I strongly disagree with them, even told you why, but don't pretend to twist my words into meaning that you can't have your beliefs. Keep your beliefs, by all means, but keep them to yourself.
As for not being able to accept that I may be wrong, I probably posted that 3-4 times in this thread. I guess you must have skipped over the numerous times I mentioned that I could be wrong, or we may both be wrong. I guess you never looked up the definition of "agnostic", either. Funny, I'm not 100% against you but you can't see it. When all else fails, twist people's words and hope they don't notice.

You carelessly throw out terms like "truth" and "fact" where they should never be used. Do you truly know what they mean?
What you should be saying is "I believe" or "my opinion is". Remember that.
