GH3 burning into my plasma!?!?

ok idk but does anybody else have any problems with the two meter things burning into thier plasma tv's? mine is bad is there any way to help iut i cant play for 30 mins without it burning in

well that answers my how to prevent wuestion but does anybody else have problems i just baught a new samsung 50 inch plasma and it cant even set on CNN for 10 mins watching the debates without the CNN thing and bar at the bottom burning in?

your tv probably has a white wash feature. you also need to make sure you aren't in demo mode.

wat does that mean?

the white wash floods the whole screen white and "evens" the plasma back out, for lack of a better explanation. demo mode is how the picture is set off the floor of a store. they turn the sharpness, contrast, etc. up really high to sell the set. you don't want the settings set too high.

oh i see what you mean. wow im gona try that thanks man. this is a real problem i just spent like 4000 on this **** thing and it burns in BAD, but i also read if you leave it on a gray screen for a while it will go away, is this true?

what do you mean by burn in? there is also something called "ghosting" which is temporary. my plasma has permanent burn in. it's a blue windows logo that never goes away. most newer plasmas won't burn in unless you leave a still image displayed for a very long time.

yea it goes away after a day or so but i was just afraid it might stay forever or somthing?

not likely. i'm almost sure that your samsung has some kind of white wash feature that would get rid of it in minutes.

bah lcd for gaming - plasma picture is great but ghosting and burn in are hazards to watch out for . ask me how much i love my lcd @ 1080p playing 360 games with 0 ghosting or burn in.
