Getting the most out of Sundown SA-8

Right now, I have one SA-8 in a .56 ft^3 box tuned to about 36 hz. I have 500 watts on it right now. I guess it is good for an 8 inch subwoofer, but I guess I was expecting more. Should I try a bigger box or what? Maybe going from a 12 inch HDC3 to this is kind of a big difference. I don't know where I am going with this. Basically, should I put it in a bigger box or do I not have enough power for it? Am I just expecting too much?

ive seen 750 put to one in .75 a 33hz and it loved it.

hmm well i really cannot do much about increasing power, but that seems like a bigger box than what is suggested with that power.. I think I may try .8

IDK, I wouldn't do more than .8 cubes to it. And it's all preference to tune, I prefer 28-30..

Yeah, thank you. Because of my space behind my seats, I am going to have to do a 4 inch pvc port going up first then to the side with an elbow joint..should be interesting

I don't have the space for another w/ my regular cab chevy truck

also, I don't really want to add another amp.. I have a 4 channel amp with 2 channels to my speakers and 2 channels to sub
