its ok newbie, everyone has to go through it at one point. thats the whole reason for there being newbie's.

but yeah, if you want better, cleaner, more power, use the amplifier. shit just about any amplifier will be better than HU power.

Use the external amp. Head Unit power is almost worthless.

Your sub amp is the serious power drain. The amp for your main speakers will only draw a fraction of the amount of current.
