I was gonna get 1/0 ga amp kit for my p400.2 to replace the 8ga kit and 4ga amp kit for my f-250 to replace the 10ga kit next week. Right now the amps are mounted under each of the front seats, is there a better place to mount the amps or is that fine? I also had a question about dynamat, I am going to install the trunk kit i got this weekend, I was wondering if i need to get a roller? or is it it not necessary?

1/0 gauge is serious overkill for just a RF Punch p400.2 amp. 4 gauge is fine. What is this F-250 you speak of? Is it the Alpine MRP-F250? You'd have no problems running both amps off a single run of 4 gauge, split at a distro block to power both. Or a single run of 2 gauge to give you a little room for upgrades without having to run new wire. Mounting the amps under the seats is fine. Just make sure they have some airflow to cool off.

As for Dynamat, I believe a roller and hairdrier are recommended, but I've never used Dynamat. I use RAAMmat, which doesn't need a roller or heat.

When talking just about the power wire, for the most part, they're all the same. Some are a little more flexible than others, making installation a little easier. But the other components that come with an amp kit, can be quite different from brand to brand. Things like the fuse holders, distro blocks, RCA wires, etc. People have been happy with the knukonceptz gear.

When it comes to wiring, does brand names matter? or is the wire gauge the only thing i should look at?
Some cheap brands' 4g might be 8ga and their 8 more like 10.

Run-on sentence, anyone? I don't quite understand what you are asking about there...

just get a 4ga kit and a distro block. if its only going to the seat the kit will leave you with plenty of extra wire. So you can have 1 4ga in and 2 or however many 4gauge out.
