I should have my deka 9a31 in the next few days, but I'm not sure if I should.

A.) Store it until i can afford the deka 9a34 for under the hood and throw an isolator between them

or

B.) Take my yellowtop out of the rear, put it under the hood and put this 9a31 in the back?

also, new tires(so i dont hydroplane and die) or a nice new mechman alt? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My current setup is a standard ac delco(i think) battery under the hood and a yellow top in the rear and my alternator rewound to 190 amps(but i think its not as much, i still get bad dimming). Also, my rear battery is grounded to the floor, should i reground it to the negative post of the battery under the hood?

Buy a 2nd 9a31 for the back, then get rid of the front batt. Have 0ga runs from your alt to your batts for power/ground.

The 34 + the cost of an isolator is probably near the same price, not to mention the small voltage drop you get from using isolators.

If you have 2 of the same batt (close to the same age as possible), then theres no need for an isolator.
