Putting it on the same platform as the Galant kind of detracts from the original intent of the Eclipse - so IMO it loses points for that.

Overall, though, I think it's a decent lookin' ride. Performance better be on par with the total redesign or it'll cost Mitsubishi a lot of buyers...

Its performance rivals with the nissan 350z. This new eclipse is much faster then the previous model. old body v6 gts 0-60 in 6.9 new gts 0-60 in 5.6
