Getting a wisdom tooth pulled today..

Yeah.. So I've have this quite nasty wisdom tooth that has finally fully grown in.. and as of late.. has been giving me alot of problems! Just about everyday I wake up with a toothache.. (usually fixable with a couple ibprofens) BUT TODAY... i wake up around 9:00 AM in some of the worst pain.. I've ever been in! I've taken 5 ibprofen.. used some oragel or w/e that shit is called.. and it's still hurting like a mofo! For now.. ice is about the only thing that is helping.. but I just got off the phone with my Dentist.. and he's soposed to be pulling it @ 2pm today..

Has anyone ever had a wisdom tooth pulled? How is it? How long did the pain last? I'm pretty **** scared atm..

how old are you? i had mine pulled when i was 15..........not bad at all except you cant eat shit for a while and you bleed alot. if we are talking about the same teeth

**** 2 days? I just went into my work.. to let them know..

I was like.. Ima try to be back by tonight guys.. (cause i was soposed to work @ 1:30 today) and they just laugh at me.. and tell me I won't be back till like thursday. lol.. I usually take the dentist pretty well.. but I will admit.. that I'm actually kinda freaked out atm.

Usually Dentist don't pull wisdom teeth...They usually direct you to an oral surgeon, because of the extent of the surgery.

I'm 19.. God I can't stand the taste of blood either. I'm talking about the teeth that start growing in when you hit puberty and on.. but most don't grow in till around the end of highschool..

Usually Dentist don't pull wisdom teeth...They usually direct you to an oral surgeon, because of the extent of the surgery.

Well, I hope this can just be pulled. The tooth is actually above the gum, as any normal tooth is.. I hear in most cases with wisdom teeth.. they have to surgically remove them b/c of the way they grow in/ or because they have not actually grown in over the gum.

Dang. Our family dentist is in Kansas City.. which is about 3 hours.. he does all of our routine work and stuff.. so I'm not able to goto him today. This is some new dentist.. its going to bleed alot.....not very painfull but i hated changing the bandage thingys.........i had to have another thing done a week later because it wasnt draining proplery and that was easlily the worst part.....they didnt give me any shots to numb it they just jumped in there and started cutting

dentist pulled one of mine he just wouldnt pull it when the pain was present he made me wait a week till the swelling and shit went down. I sitll have 3 that need to be removed, one grew in pushing towards my molar and the top 2 are impacted.

i got both of mine pulled the sameday.......the bandages are like little guaze swabs that asorb the blood........they feel really weird in your mouth, there all itchy and they bugged the shit out of me.
