getting a viper 791

okay since none of my local shops will install an alarm without buying it from them, the shop i like dosent carry directed, they carry prestige but i want a 791 instead of a 996, so i can buy it at best buy with install for 500$ is this okay deal?

well what the chance that i will ned the warranty? or what makes it buying from bestbuy better than buying from ebay or whereever, has anyone used sonicelectronix http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1590.html they look good an you get a 1 year warranty from them has anyone used the warranty? they just look like a well put together site and company even have a number you can call to order so how much do you think bestbuy would charge to install?

They come with a lifetime warranty if professionaly installed and bought from an authorized dealer.

Do yourself a favor, and buy the alarm from a authorized dealer and have it installed by them as well. If you buy it off of Ebay and BB installs it, or any other shop, you didn't buy it from them- if something goes wrong, it's not their problem.

As a matter of fact, on our customer worksheet that we have every customer sign on any install states that any alarm purchased outside of CC and installed by ourselves isn't covered under our lifetime installation warranty. I'd wager to say that BB has something very similar in their contract.

I'd say get the backup battery, the proximity sensor, maybe have them install an extra siren on top of the one that it comes with as well as the backup battery siren, and maybe an air horn. See if you can get a mircrowave sensor as well, that will pick up if there is mass inside the car that is in motion.
