getting a alt. and want to get a fuse for the line.

hi guys,

i want to put a fuse holder on the line from alt. to battery what size fuse do i need ?

the alt is a 200amp .

also should i run 1/0 or 4ga ?

It matters what size cable. 0 gauge is 300 amp capable so that's what you run as an inline fuse. I saw a graph on that somewhere I think it was the grand am forums.
