General Opinion for my 500 dollar setup..

Just kinda wanted to get you guys general opinion on my setup. Was out of the audio game for awhile, last time I was in the game, I was rocking some MTX Thunder 5000's lol. Anyhow...

I picked up a Kicker L5 12" is a fairly large Sloted? Box and a kenwood 9105d Amp to push it. I believe the sub is wired to 1ohm. The box takes up almost the entire back of my Jeep, haha. Paid around 500 bucks for everything, brand new. The 1st Box I actually got from a local audio shop, but the speaker blew it apart, well, blew the kauking? away from inside the box and the box walls actually started to separate, so, they built me a custom one for free.

Other then it sounds like its gonna blow my car apart, do you guys think I did good? How loud do you think this system would be capable of getting in an SUV?

Just kinda wanted some opinions, like I said, been outta the game for a long, long time.

Did $500 include install also. Figure a decent 4 gauge amp kit is ~$60. Sub can be found on ebay for $110. Found the amp on sonic for $190(not feeling that amp. It's rated for 900watts @ 2 and >900 @ 1, while total rms output is rated at 900). You're likely not getting more than 900 watts from the amp. The square sub may get loud but it sounds like junk. Overall, not shabby for someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Especially if you actually have a proper enclosure for it now. Would I spend that much on what you have? No, but I've learned a lot in the last two years I've been playing audioz. 2 years ago, I likely wouldn't have been disappointed with that purchase.

FYI: If you quit smoking those nasty cigs you could put the money saved towards more audio equipment, and live longer.

I have that same amp, I wouldnt run it at 1 ohm tho. it says its stable but I bet it wouldnt take to long to mess up. It limits the power to 900 watts anyways, which is the same you get at 2 ohm.
