2x 400rms @4ohm,

itll be powering 2x(3AA poly and 1 TB tweeter)

could I connect a sound cards's output to this amplifier's input so that the music from computer goes through the amplifier and then speakers?

You could, but a preamp would be better.

I never used one nor seen internal pics. I can make a guess.

QSC RMX850 is 35 pounds and the highest power rating is ~800w.

The GEM amp is 36 pounds and rated for ~800w, that implies that it

probably has a decent transformer inside and it may do what it says

powerwise.

dont need a preamp jus an amp for the speakers and the better sound card u have in the computer the well off u will be. My computer man says there are sound cards out there that has an input for rca's

so speakers to the amp, then the amp to the computer

That amp says

3 Input sensitivity switch 1,1.5 and 7 volts

That gives you options to better drive the amp to full power

as sound cards have lower voltage outputs.

Try it.

I would use a pre-amp of some kind just to give you a little protection between your computer and your speakers.
