Eminem and D-12 are associated, and that's cool he put his boys on like that. But the St. Lunatics are different. They've been together as a group since the early 90's. Nelly was/is a St. Lunatic just as much as Method Man is part of the Wu-Tang. Nelly put his stuff out there before the group album though, which makes it seem the way people see it.

Nelly could easily drop his boys at any time though, and still be successful (obviously, lol). The same is true for Beyonce and Destiny's Child. She makes the group, she doesn't need them. But why not let them get paid too? She could just do her thing solo with backup singers and take a bigger chunk of the pot. Many of the boy bands can't do that, they need eachother. Anyone ever sung a song with 3 or 4 other guys? We used to do it on bus rides home from games, and even though we ****, you throw enough voices together it smooths out some how (don't know the scientific reasoning for it). Most of the boys lack "pro" talent, which is why they avoid solo's with most of them. They can't exactly sing like 112 or Boys 2 Men.

I like Eminem. It's a different sound. I'm tired of DMX though, his lyrics were tight at first, but now their just sluggish. He's riding beats, hooks and his voice now.

Petey Pablo's album was nice, but a lot of people haven't heard it.

O.K. I didnt really like the D-12 Albumn. . . . But as far as them riding Ems coattail????? Oh you mean how EM rode Dre's coattail. . . Or how Corupt rode snoops coat tail. . . . or maybe how NaS is riding Murda Incs Coat Tail???????

Its just how the industry works. . . . there are tons of underground labels/artist out there that would tear half the "ill" MC's out now-a-days a new A-hole. . . They just dont have the benefit of connections to popular signed artist. . .

And to say Eminem sux's is pretty much the dumbest *** statement i have ever heard. . . Look past the content of his lyrics and there is un-deniable skill in his lyrics. . . Wordplay, imagery, multis, metaphors etc. . .

I personally like his underground joints better then his commercial. . . and the only complaint i have about Eminem is that he landmarks his carrers on rippin POP singers that he knows would never say anything back except in interviews. . . but the industry is about making money, and with the people he rides on. . . . its a brilliant gimmik

For all the real Hip Hop heads, this is what the underground fights off. How can nelly get a Hip Hop of the Year Award from them corney A-Holes @ the Source. . . when he spits Hip POP????? And why didnt it come to the commercials attention that KRS ONE ripped his a$$?????? He has no more street creditbility. . . . and hopefully his career can last producing nothing but gay club remixes. . . . .

I like NaS, but signing to Murda Inc put a fork in his career. . . On Stillmatic he brags and boasts about how he came up on his own without special guest appearances, help from major co-production labels etc. . . now hes become the element that he pretended to despise. . .

I love Ludacris' lyrics. He makes me think that I spent my money on something he spent some time and effort on. His lyrics have a sweet pattern to them, just listen and you can figure them out. He writes the whole song as a unit, like regular music does. And I have no idea how he kept that pattern going in "Roll out."

Snoop, KRS-One and LL Cool J have lots of so-called street credibility. They are well known to be some of the best freestylers out there. And not that fake "I made up most of this before I got here" freestyle like on the "Bassment."

Ja Rule SAID he wants to make NICE music because his kids are getting older and he doesn't want any kind of bad legacy for them. That's why he changed over to the style of music he does now. Convenient excuse for selling out if you ask me. At least make it obvious your all about the cash like Puffy is.
