Ummm you can get killed anywhere. Crazy people are everywhere now. Where you live doesn't matter as much as the people that live there. Do you think murderers, rapists, and all other criminals can't live in a gated community?

Sure they can and do, but do the math. For every 1 killing from a member of gated community or a gated community their is how many in a "rough" area of town?

Look at crime overall as well, its alot higher in area's that are more poor.

I would much rather be out in the sticks than in a cookie cutter *** developement. All the houses look the same and it makes me sick. Country FTW

Some of em here are crazy strict. You can't work on you car in your driveway(change oil etc.) , you can't keep the garage door open for long periods of time during the day. Stupid stuff like that

x2 they tried to give me a ticket cause i had a car on jackstands for a couple days ! then told me i couldnt store a vehicle in one spot for more than 10 days ,"even if it is a 2009"

^idk but here you can't keep a trailer/rv in the same spot for like 5 days

I live in a nice private community but it is not gated. I wish it was. Maybe then the immigrants from the east side wouldn't have broken in to my truck.

I think thats a risk you simply take living in more urban area's.
