also does anyone have any kind of comparison to the gas war crap in the 70s how it compares to now? i know in the 70s the oil companys said there was a huge shortage then they burnt off allot to get the prices up,

Not only inflation but you hafta take into account that the average driver puts more miles on their vehicle annually than the average driver did three decades ago.

In the 70s the average annual mileage seen by most cars was 10~12k miles.

It's between 15~20k annually now.

A great deal of Iraq's oil production infrastructure is back in place. Oil is being produced/pumped/put into barrels. In this 'war for oil'....now that oil is flowing out of the Iraqi fields again.....where is all that $$$ going, ya think? 'Cause it isn't coming stateside!

When gas prices hit 6-8$ a gal. I wouldn't be suprised if there was an alternative way to fill a tank.
I can't wait until electric/hydrogen or something.. hits the market. People will convert to the best/cheapest way to travel.

Gas prices may drop, may stay the same. Even out a bit just because there is an alternative way.

Dam CEO's. They should wear someones shoes that have budgets.

Remember cars were created not to long ago ~100 yrs ago. Gas is pretty much the only way to travel efficiently.

Its only the beginning, unless we get nuked.

You should put on their shoes and see what it feels like to make that much money.
