There are a few threads similar to this one out there. Due to the changing prices of hardware as of latley, I was wondering if I could get some updated opinions on a good gaming PC package for around $800. Keep in mind, I will be assembling everything myself, and I have no need for periphials (monitors/keyboards) or operating systems (Have XP Pro pirate). I'm also not incredibaly worried about the sound card, as long as it is considered adequate. Looking to have 1 gig of ram. Any suggestions?

I'm selling my pc, everything but a hard drive and video card (integrated) for $310 + shipping.

3ghz intel 630

2x256 wintec ampx

asus socket 775 mobo

dual layer dvd-burner

antec powersupply (I think 430)

With another 200 you can have a cheap decent little machine

I'm leaning towards AMD. My current system is AMD, and I've always been pleased with them. Looking for somthing that will allow me to eventually have 2 vid cards going, which it looks like you have with that nvdia SLI board. Looks awesome to me!

yeah plus that power supply supports sli also. im planning on going sli with two 7600gts in a couple months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

although if you are going to be doing only gaming, you might wanna get a better video card, like maybe a 7900gt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
