I recently bought a kenwood 717dvd unit, and my question is: Does anyone know if there is a special kenwood a/v adapter i have to buy to hook up my xbox or wii to my brain? Because i understand how to get power but not how to get the audio and video.

You should just be able to hook up the A/V cables from xbox to the inputs in the rear of the headunit, you may need an extention cable to extend to the cables, depending on where you are installing the xbox

if you dont have a/v hook ups in head rest you should invest in a little module thats mounted anywhere. its like to inches square & it has socket to plug game into along with a/v connections & on/off switch. I'm totally sure but i believe its connected thru my tv tuner. Late
