Hi all! We hear alot about gain settings. Some people like to blast the gains trying to get max spl and end up blowing something. Over the weekend I went the other route. I actually lowered my gains. The result was quite interesting. This is the amp to my speakers and not the sub amp. I was able to turn up the volume about 5 notches more. Sounded amazingly clear, and the real kicker is I can now push my 4' alpine dash speakers even more because those are running off my head unit. Even better highs (woo hoo) . So I went back to check my amp for heat , it was cool to the touch. I can only conclude that this is a good thing. My head unit is very clean Kenwood Excelon, and I have a clean amp as well. I though I had my gains set , but after this test I guess I was wronge. What a plesent surprise. I think it really sounds better. Just though I would share. Increasing the gains is not always the answer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
