G35 vs 350Z

There will be no 370Z. There's a POSSIBILITY that the 350 will get the VQ37HR, but chances are it's gonna get a change from teh VQ35DE to the VQ35HR, and leave it at 3.5. Even if they do switch to the 3.7, they're not changing the name, which pisses me off, cause that's part of the Z's heritage. Also, I'd get the G35. Not the 4 door though. If I want a 4 door, I'll get one of the new 3.5 Altimas. The G35 is more fun for some reason, and it's more comfortable.

yeah i wasnt sure about the 350 getting a new name. that would really piss me off too if they didnt change the name to reflect the displacement. and i second getting a 2 door, i figured thats what you wanted since you were comparing it too the 350z. the g37 is going to be more but i didnt know you were going to get it used

The G37 shouldn't even be considered until a couple years into production. Nissan doesn't have many recalls, but they've been known to have some BIG ones in the past... Just get an 03-04 G35 for the time being, and wait until the 09-10MY to get a G37.

ya id probably stick to the 35 for a while 37 looks fun with its pedal shifts but looks like it costs alot

G35, looks great, fun to drive.

I've never been a huge fan of nissan/interiors, the leather has always felt cheap to me. I'd definately rock a g35 though... especially the sedan.

I prefer the g35 or 37 over the Z because the G has a longer wheelbase and more room. Its not as cramped feeling and i think looks better...WAY better. The BMW335 is nice but the twin turbo version will be avout 15k more than the G37. Yeah its quicker than the G but 15-20 is a huge chunk of change.

Ur not really gonna find one for tht cheap but if u have a carmax in ur area ive seen G35s locally go for low 20s...

the 350Z upgraded to the HR engine this year and there is not talk within Nissan on the next 350. We are actually hearing that there will be a break in production on the Z front once the GTR comes out in Spring. Same kind of break they took after the 300ZX.

As far as the differene between the two cars, you lose some HP going with the G35, but its a great car. It is a 350Z, mechanically. I work for Nissan and if I was to choose between the 2, I would take the G, just because its a 2+2.

The g37 is a beast though. I got to go to a demo event for it and it was sweet.

Make sure if you buy a 350Z, you go with a 04 or above, I would even recommend a 2005, they use some more Nismo parts in them and they are a better build.

Also in the 350Z, you lose HP going to an auto. Unless you look at a 2007, they are the same in 2007.
