refurbished to me means refurbished to like new condition. meaning it should work just fine. thats what i would expect...

there's alot of things i don't like about the zune which is why i'm waiting it out til microsoft makes more/better upgrades to it.

as for the refurb ipods, i have a 60 gig video refurb and it's been just fine for me. the scroll wheel has glitched twice on me in the 4 months i've had it now. i've dropped it numerous times, and given it a beating. i listen to it EVERYDAY while i'm at work for 8hrs+. works great in my car as well on my 880.

I bought a refurbed shuffle this past June. The left headphone channel went out 2 months later. I've called Apple and am getting it replaced. Thank god for the warranty.

I'm trying to figure out what you people are doing to your iPods to break them... I have a 1G Mini 4Gig, and my wife has a 3G 20 Gig, and they both work like champs. Only thing I've had to do is replace the batteries on each, but that inevitable, even rechargeables go bad after a couple years. And I'm typing this on a REFURB 20" iMac G5 that I've had for about a year now. Honestly, are you guys throwing your iPods at each other during your buttsecks sessions? You must be doing something wrong, because everyone I know that owns an iPod loves it, has never had a problem, and would never even consider getting anything else. An item is only gonna treat you as well as you treat it.

it seems like the G4 and above ipods seem to have the problems. Ive have my G3 ipod, One with buttons across top, for 4 years now not a single problem
