i'm looking for info on the guys that are have used a hifonics bxi1606d. I just want to know what size fusing/breker people used on this amp with success.

the amp has 160A worth of fusing on it, but i'm wondering how much i should put inline on my power wire. reason i ask is i had a jbl bp1200.1 before which had 120A of fusing on it, and i never popped a 80A inline fuse w/ it. I know im supposed to match the 4ga. wire im using w/ around 120ish amps max, but its a 13' run, and i dont want to buy a circuit breaker too small. I've found 120, 135, 150 and then it jumps to 200.

also, is there any diff between a anl and midi fuse? ive searched and apparently the midi is just a smaller version of the anl. if there's no diff. im going with midi's as theyre way cheaper

You should only ever need one fuse. I have fuses that are 10+ years old. If you do things right they never blow unless there is an emergency in which case they blow reliably. Can't guarantee that the breaker will trip. Not gonna risk my car on the chance that a breaker might not work as advertised.
