Fuses? Yes or no?

I could see if this was a competition vehicle only but if you're using this as a daily driver as well I would HIGHLY recommend fusing. Definately fuse you power wire at both ends. You won't see any spl loss at all. You can get away without fusing your amp but for a daily driving scenario I would. I made solid metal pieces out of aluminum to replace my fuses for competition use then switch the fuses back in for daily driving. There are 500a ANL fuses out there. The RF T4ks come with them.

fuse from front to the back, then fuse from batt bank to amps. for daily, only safe way to play it man. how much of a voltage difference do you see between fuses and your aluminum pieces at full tilt?

shouldnt effect voltage any.

and no, not everyone runs fuses. I know plenty of people who don't.

I mean, it does affect the voltage... but not noticeable, or worth the risk of fire.

That's the best option in my mind too. The solid bar to replace during a lane run but go back to a regular fuse right after. Remember if you have a 500 amp fuse your wire better handle 500 amps.

If you do not fuse unhook the power every time you are not running it and do not have a fire truck nearby. Do not park inside either.

That's an exaggeration. In all honesty, something has to physically be damage in order for system to get over-powered... like if the wire got grounded. Then it'd catch on fire... but, I mean, most people just won't ever blow their fuse. But, like said... i'ts better safe than sorry. We're talking about your X-thousand dollar car with your X-hundred/thousand dollar system.

Fuses are a precaution and you have to think "what ifs". What if you got into a car accident and your power wire got pinched? Car accidents can happen to anyone at anytime. Don't risk your life and fuse your sh!t.

i dont fuse, i have 12 runs of wire, if i fuse that means i need 12 runs of current to run threw a little fuse,, causeing me to limit the on demand current availble

fuse any long positive runs, fuse the amp.

When an amp fuse blows, it means the amp would have if it wasn't there...All it takes is once.
