I would def sell them a lanzar 6000w or pyle 6000w amp. you'll make $500 profit.
Also, did they really tell you to touch the leads of the sub to your tongue?

He said they test them before they come in, but when someone asks if a certain sub(s) work they tell them they test them but can't test in house because they do not have a set-up to do that. He said he just tells people to test it with there tongue to make sure...because of the pos and neg terminals. It did not surprise me that this idiot said this...I mean he thought that adding silicone to a sub to cover punctures/holes increased the excursion and power of the sub.

um no body does that with AA batteries you gotta use a 9 volt d battery or something with pos and neg on top

SOunds like you have a lot of time to waste. I would have saw the tag, tried to haggle and if they were srs about $900, would have shrugged and went about my business.

Nope I stay pretty busy with my military duty, but was running errands at lunch. I did not want the subs so I was not trying to haggle for price. I just wanted to know why they were selling them for so much...and then that's where the crappy attitude from the guy started.

Pawn shops around here, at least the handful I go to, won't even touch car audio. They say its too hard to test and value. Which really means they dont know jack. They do home audio though, and I got about $1,000 in polk speakers for $220.

Tsk, that's what he said, I was go to correct him, but I knew what he was trying to say. I was more intrigued on gaining as much audio knowledge from this guy as I could. Maybe he has a forked tongue.

The funny thing is, everytime I stopped into one of these maxx pawn shops and **** lookin at headunits or ipods (sometimes they price those dirt) I see fools buying subs and amps there. I'm always tempted to be like yo i'll straight sell you everthing in my trunk for half that price and it will outwang it buy 70%. Then im like **** it though not trying to start another build
