Full/Thick Bass sound

I am looking into getting a system for the car and want a nice bass sound. Now I have heard a few different systems from my friends, etc. After listening to a couple Im looking for one that provides a nice thick bass compared to one that just rattles the trunk. Any useful information on this would be much appreciated!

its a 07' Saab 93 2.0T and as opposed to that just "sounds" like its bumping like idk how to explain it but ive been in a car thats system just wasnt that full sounding
I know exactly what you mean. What music do you mostly listen to? Comparing loudness, do you want a good blend between the highs and lows, do you want to feel the bass vibrate through the car, or do you want the bass to flex u roof and make u rear view mirror rearrange its self every time the bass drops?

I listen to alot of hip hop/rap, RnB, and EDM/Rave music and most of those rely on a heavy bassline so of course I want a nice bass sound but not to the point where its overpowering everything the highs and mids make the song just as much as the bass so ultimately I guess thats the best question to ask what will give the most complete sound maybe a little extra bass but still keep it modest.

If you don't want to over power the mids/highs start there with a good set of comps and an amp to drive them then look at what you need in order to keep up with them.

do you run the factory system or do you plan to raise the overall sound level as well? I think in that car you can do a 12" or maybe 2 10"s. What budget do you have in mind?

If you want to increase front stage volume and presence, it can be done with a good set of separates and a dedicated amp, as goingdef stated. Some quality components in the 6.5" openings in the front doors and the tweeters would fit the factory 2.5" dash locations. Look to HAT, Hertz, CDT, Image Dynamics

A solid 100 - 150 watts per channel on these. You could leave the rest of the speakers as they are for fill and rear passengers. Unless you just want a much bigger amp and extra speakers.
