Full range vs Comp setup questions

I having trouble deciding a few things i have a 03 cobra mustang and am getting a single 12 with around 1000watts running to it. I also have a eclipse avn6620 headunit.

My car stock speakers are 5x7 i am haing trouble deciding between a comp setup vs full range. Also having trouble deciding on what way to run them. For example using the HU, running a 2ch with 2 to the HU or running a 4ch.

I am trying to keep it as lite as possible and would rather not have to use a second battery.

Im not interested in brands really just setup.

im a newb any input?

if you run quality coaxials you can get componet sound...cheaper full range are nothing but crap....
