FUBARS @ 1 ohm

Resistance doesn't determine wear on a subwoofer, because each VC will always run at it's nominal impedance. (Given all things equal)

What amp you have them connected to will determine what kind of power you will send the subs. If you have a 300w RMS DVC sub on a 2000D @ 2 ohms, then yes it will blow very soon.

they're dual 4 ohm subs (I just checked on the back of them). My amp is a 2400db with 900 RMSx1 @4ohm 1100 x1 2ohm and 1800 rms @ 1ohm. My subs handle 800 watts rms and if i put htem at 1ohm thats 900 a sub the peak on the amp is 2400 (which i'll prolly never hit) but thats still 1200 a sub peak. Will running at 1 ohm wear down the subs faster than 4 ohm or should i just be sure my power to amp my is proper spec and it gets airflow? thanks.

I'll be sure to do that once everything is in place. I'm putting on a 140 amp alternator and a 4 gage power wire and a 4 farad cap. i can't wait to hear this system.
