Sold FS: Two JL Audio 8W7 in enclosure - HOUSTON

I had these subs in my 2006 Mustang and I switched them out for a Stereo Integrity Mag 12".

Two JL Audio 8W7 subs with custom enclosure. Sealed with fiberglass. The black strips on the bottom are velcro, because I had them velcro'ed down on the trunk. They will come off.

For those with a 2005+ Mustang, the little angle at the bottom of the enclosure is because there's a little hump in the trunk, so it fits kinda nice.

I had 400 watts on each of these and these thing pound! Loud and clear! I listened to everything from Metallica to Lil Wayne. These are really nice subs. Absolutely nothing wrong with them. They are 5 months old. I replaced this with one 12" in a much smaller enclosure because I needed my trunk back.

Here are the dimensions. Remember that there's about 1.5" that the subs poke out. They'll need a tad more room for excursion, too.

Here's what they looked like installed in my trunk. There's more room than these pics look like.

Asking for $500 cash. I live in Houston near I-10 and Beltway 8. Will not ship, so I'll meet you somewhere.

hehe... yeah, I moved to a new house and put these in a closet and forgot about them.

I know for a fact there's interest here for them, there's been several threads with guys looking for heavy 8's.

These lil buggers sound SICK, very loud, clear, accurate & DEEP..... let me stop B4 the JL haters get wind of someone sayin positive things about their subs!

Hmmm... it would be too big for one 8W7. But maybe ok for two. See spec sheet here. (PDF)

Recommended 1.0 cf for ported, tuned for 32 Hz.

i saw a 8" w7 with a huge port and box custome built but it was in a pic i never heard it. i have owned a 10" JL W7 and was very please with the clean lowz it produced but i had it in a 2.5cf with only 400watts and it flex my windshield but it blew im guessing because of the songs i was playing and box size.luckily i didnt pay like $500-$600 it was used and bought for $80 locally
