To isolate the back battery from the front so the front one doesn't drain.

will the alternator still charge the front battery and the back bank of batts when your cars running?

hooked up to the ignition...or put a switch on it..switch on they are in parallel and charging both..off...each battery is isolated...

Charges both front and back when the car is on. If the car is off with the stereo on the amps will only pull from the back.
