I just recently uninstalled this amp from my brother's car.

It has 5 satellite channels (all with separate gain/level adjustments) This given feature sacrifices the ability to bridge those channels.

Satellite channels: 4 x 65 @ 4ohms (12v, IIRC)

The sub channel does: 400w @ 2 ohms, and 500w @ 1 ohm. It can also be Bio-bridged* with a Rub 500, which I also have if anyone is interested in getting 1000w @ 2ohms, or 800w @ 4ohms

there is a slight problem with the 3rd channel however, but I believe it is just a loose rca connection. I was planning sending it in for repair, but I need money atm. easy fix for those who can do their own amp repair. I also don't have the cover piece, but IMO it looks better w/o it anyways

Looking to get $300 shipped OBO.

no love for the oldschool soundstream sq?

every channel has it's own level adjustment to get that nice balance for great imaging and center focus.

asked and answered on another board:

1. What are the dimensions of the two amps?2. More detail on the "slight" problem.....

Thanks
Here's some dimensions from Dealtime. I'll try to find the manual tomorrow morning to confirm.

D'Artagnan:

Width 18.98 in.

Depth 10.55 in.

Height 2.44 in.

RUB500-1:

Width 8.5 in.

Depth 12 in.

Height 2.25 in.

Total width of both would be about 27.5 inches.

The "slight problem" happens only every now and then. The left mid channel (channel 3) would sometimes static or crackle, making you think something is wrong with your mid, but it's the amp. If push down on the heatsink, it would go away. I figure is either the input stage or the output stage

uhm im not trying to dump but i am looking for amp like this, but are you sayn thats its a glorified 4 channel if the 3rd channel has issues?
It's really a 6 channel amp (5.1 = 4 channel + 1 center channel + sub)

Yes, the 3rd channel has a slight issue. I think I might have better luck sending it off for repairs and use it...
