I just made this 'prefab' sealed enclosure a couple days ago and it's up for sale. Im looking for $70+ shipping as-is with a terminal cup included but will carpet it and finish it up for a bit more, we'll discuss pricing for anything further. The mounting cutout is 11.125" and the overall cutout is 12.75" and has 1.275 cubes before sub displacement

The build log is here: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425714

And I didnt get any good shots of them, but the corners all have 45-degree inserts for added support. This is a rock-solid enclosure and very clean.

I must agree here, glue joints are normally stronger than MDF it's self. Screws are normally used just to assist in the build. I use brads just to make it easier for me to build because I don't clamp and most of my boxes are strong enough to park a wheel of my 4runner on. If you have ever tried to break a glued box apart to throw it away you would understand this. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Bump for a very nice looking box!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif
Ask Sundownz how well his all double baffled box for Paul Strouth's jeep that is Brad Nailed and Glued stayed together (without extreme climate changes) lol. :p

Like I said above, I have no doubt in the solidity of the enclosure, but glue joints just aren't the strongest available permanent means of binding. Even Hot glue is stronger than MDF, but screws hold tension, glue only bonds, he harder you press, the thinner the joint, the thinner the joint the less effort it takes to break it apart and the less time it takes for degradation to weaken them. I build alot of enclosures, of varying type and complexity, problem is, I just bought a 6K sq ft house that needs a lot of repair work and for the next bit I wont have time to build my stuff, I'm having trouble just keeping up with orders from local guys. Figured I'd out-source a project to help me catch up. My boxes are locally known to be permanent fixtures, the last longer than most vehicles their installed in, lol. I dig infrastructure but the OCD in me has to have every screw the same distance apart even if it means using mm to my centers on for symmetry.
