we put an orion 1200d on an old HX2 8d4 and she lasted a good solid 6mo with alot of abuse... the HX2's are and were great subs all-around.

I have two hx2 12"s on a 16mc2000d and yea they take a beating for sure, what kind of failure did you run into running double rms?

I would just need a coil and the motor.... Sort of tempted depending on coil options

Im sure he could get you something to work and could ship with the motor as well...

They are nice little motors that can be used for quite a bit...

Got it Monday. I have OEM dustcap, cone, and 18" basket. Also have a line on a coil and OEM spiders (though I'm not impressed with the spiders so I'll probably use something else). Gonna build it up and put it up for sale locally.

since the hx2 8 was dvc4 we only had it running @ 2 ohm on the 1200d. Either way, in a small box with 3" pvc port we ended up basically shredding the spiders inside out and pretty much annihilating the soft parts :^)
